Shell Section

Retrieve results for shell elements with respect to a cutting polyplane defined by a polyline and an in-plane direction vector.

Inputs

NameIDDescriptionType
Analyzed modelModelModel with calculated displacementsModel
Shells|IdentifiersShells|IdsShells or identifiers of shells for which to retrieve results. By default all elements are included.Generic Data
Load-CaseLCaseName of load-case for which to retrieve results. By default results of load-case index 0 are retrieved.Generic Data
PolylinePLinePolyline which - together with the direction vector 'D' - defines the section-polyplane which is to be intersected with the shells.Curve
Projection DirectionPDirThe direction vector for projecting the above defined polyline onto the shell. Vector D should not be parallel to the segments of the polyline.Vector

Outputs

NameIDDescriptionType
Analyzed modelModelModel with calculated displacementsModel
PolylinesPlinesPolylines that result from intersecting the shell with the section-polyplane. There may be several in cases where the intersecting polyplane passes a hole in the shell.Curve
Face IndexesFaceIndsIndexes of the faces of the shell which are part of the section. Each branch of the data tree corresponds to an item in the list of polylines of the output above. The order of the indexes corresponds to the components of the polyline output above.Integer
